Emily Irene VanCamp originally wanted to become a professional ballet dancer. However, after spending time with her sister Katie on the Ladies Room movie set, Emily began to be interested in acting. As she began taking acting classes, Emily VanCamp was also able to get guest roles on a variety of television shows in Canada. Some of the shows she had starred in among others were Are You Scared of the Dark? Radio Active and Dice. VanCamp made a breakthrough in his career following his appearance as regular Sam Dolan on the WB horror-themed mystery series Glory Days. The show was cancelled after just nine episodes despite the positive review and ratings that were low. The actress was born on May 12, 1986, quickly landed an additional role on Everwood. She played Amy Abbott. In this role, she was the one that she received nominations from the Young Artist Award, and she also won four Teen Choice Awards.
